CA Exam 2024 Postponement: Delhi HC to Hear Petition to Reschedule CA Final, Inter Exams

CA Exam 2024 Postponement: The Delhi High Court will be hearing the plea to postpone the exam date for the Chartered Accountant (CA) exams (to be held in May 2024) on April 8, 2024. A lot of aspirants are demanding the authorities defer the CA exam date 2024 due to the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. 

Previously, ICAI postponed the CA inter and final exams to May. The new schedule was released after the announcement of general election dates by the Election Commission. Candidates are unhappy with the revised schedule and are asking the concerned authorities to further postpone the CA exam date 2024 to June.

CA Foundation Exam Date 2024 Remains Unchanged

As per the revised dates, CA Foundation Exams 2024 will be conducted on June 20, 22, 24 and 26, 2024. There will be no change in this schedule.

CA Aspirants are urging exam postponement due to problems (such as election chaos, rallies, and possible violence) they might face during the 18th Lok Sabha elections.

“Considering continuous requests & hardships of CA students, we have filed a petition in Delhi HC seeking rescheduling of CA Exams from May to June 2024. HC is likely to hear it on Monday. CA students, please focus on studies. Matter is before the Court now. Let Court decide,” advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava posted on X.

“Some CAs are advising #castudents focus on studies. But why they didn't approve preparation leave for these students when they knew that exams are going to be conducted in May. Now suddenly so much concerned about their studies,” advocate Anubha Shrivastava Sahai tweeted.
