Bihar to promote School Students: As per the latest update, Bihar Government has decided to promote all school students studying in 1st to 9th and 11th Class to the next grade without holding any exams due to the COVID-19 lockdown. According to the news report by ANI, the Education Department of Bihar Government has decided to promote all school students, except for those who have appeared for the Board Exams, to the next grade and allow them to start the new academic year in promoted class. The BSEB i.e. Bihar School Examination Board is also expected to release a detailed notification in this regards soon, confirming all the details about the move.

 

Decision similar to CBSE, MP, Haryana Board

Owing to the on-going public health emergency due to COVID-19 pandemic, several state boards have decided to cancel examination for students who are no in their board exam years and instead promote them to the next grade without holding any exams. The first decision of this kind was announced by CBSE, which, on the direction of HRD Ministry, cancelled exam for 1st to 8th Class students and will be promotion 9th and 11th Class students on the basis of internal assessment. On similar lines, MP Board, Haryana Board and Himachal Pradesh Board have also announced similar decision to directly promote students to the next academic session.

Class 10 / Matric Result in 4th Week of April

While the exams have been cancelled for 1st to 9th and 11th Class students of Bihar Board, students who have appeared for Matric Exam continue to await the declaration of their result. Last month, Bihar Board announced results for intermediate class students, and since then 10th Class students have been eagerly waiting for the declaration of Matric Results. However, due to the lockdown, the evaluation process for answer books of 10th Class students has been put on hold, which has been confirmed by BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore. The Board plans to resume the evaluation work as soon as the lockdown is lifted on 14th April. However, sources close to the board have suggested that Bihar 10th Result 2020 should be expected only in 4th Week of April 2020.
