Assam School Timings Revised Due to Heatwave, Check Details Here

Assam School Timings Revised: The Office of the District Elementary Education has issued a notification for all schools in Assam to modify their timings due to the increasing heat wave conduction in the state. Schools will now begin classes for all the students from 8 am. Further notification regarding the revision of school timings will be communicated by officials soon.

As per reports, school timings in Assam’s Kamrup Metropolitan and Cachar districts have also revised the school timings due to the ongoing heatwave. Classes in these regions will begin at 7:30 am onwards and will conclude at 12:30 PM. It must be noted that the order applies to all state, central government and private schools. Students have also been asked not to wear ties or waistcoats. 

The heads of institutions have also been directed to conduct morning assemblies inside the classrooms and ensure that students have access to sufficient drinking water and adequate facilities. 

The notice further mentioned that classrooms must be well-ventilated and fans must be functional. Alternate power sources must also be available in case of power outage emergencies.
